Part lV was worth the wait. Mercy being able to put his past to rest and move on to a wonderful (hopefully) life with Ava. Have to admit I am sorry to see the ending of their story being the fore front of each story. I know they will show up in other books, I want to know if the baby is a boy or girl. There is still a lot of stories to be told. But, I am so very excited to know the Lean Dogs will continue in the future. Can't wait for Michael and Holly's story. They caught my attention in the 1st book even though it was only a few lines about them in the restaurant. Also, poor Aiden! I'm afraid his story Is going to be long and hard trying to live in the shadow of Ghost. I would like to see a story about Walsh (still waters run deep and I think there is a lot underneath the calm surface that is Walsh). Then there is Tango and Carter, I know there has to be a story for each of them. I am totally invested in these characters and their stories. Each book is like reading a family journal, the more you find out the more you want to know.

Fearless Part IV Follow You Home edition by Lauren Gilley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I literally couldn't put it down, simply amazing how she captured the real nawlins -)-) the descriptions were spot on right down to cafe du monde where I have frequented.
Ava and mercy are the outlaw version of a fairytale and so perfectly matched. The way Lauren writes their relationship is just right, and she never turns it into a dirty old man type thing.
I like the mentions of all these other characters, prepping us for their stories while not taking from ava and mercy.
As always the mc lifestyle was just right with how she portrayed it unlike these awful porn versions that seem to be popular now days.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a mc based romance with a real backing. I can't wait to see what she brings next.
I actually read the four installments of this book. I one clicked installment 1 back in October and rated it 3 stars because it was a cliff hanger. I liked the story well enough but decided to wait until all installments were released. I forgot about the book until someone recommended the series a few weeks ago. I am so happy I went back and re-read installment 1, followed by the other 3. This book is undoubtedly one of the best reads of 2015 for me. I now have a new favorite author and have already clicked book 2 in this series, as well as two of the author’s other books. She is gifted with the ability to tell a rich story filled with fully developed characters that grab you and make you feel them.
This book is more about relationships than about the MC. The MC plays a major part of the story but what the author succeeds in doing is delivering a taboo romance between young Ava and Mercy, the club enforcer. She delivers that story in such a way that I felt torn between feeling my societal expectations about the development of Mercy and Ava’s relationship, but in the end had no doubt they were soul mates who loved deeply.
Mercy, your hot, alpha, Cajun male, is transferred to the Tennessee Lean Dogs MC when Ava is 8 years old and Mercy is 21. He is assigned as the body guard for Ava and her mother during a club war. Ghost, the club president and Ava’s father, is a loving but distant father. He has left the child rearing to his wife Maggie. It is apparent that Ava is the center of Mercy’s life but no sexual lines are crossed until Ava is 17. Ava’s father steps in when he becomes aware of the relationship and forces Mercy to leave Tennessee and make Ava believe he has dumped her. That decision causes five years of heartache for both Mercy and Ava. The author shows how even people who love you can often make decisions that have a negative impact on your life while feeling they are doing what’s best for you. The love between Mercy and Ava will touch you deeply and leave no doubt they belong together, but they have to surmount many problems and barriers to get to their HEA. The author writes vivid scenes of New Orleans, the bayous and Tennessee. I could easily visualize the scenes as I was reading.
This is the kind of love story that you don’t forget as soon as you get to the last page. It resonates with you and makes you want to read it again. This is a book I’ll definitely read again and I hope that all of the characters who played such a major part in this book will get their own stories. The age discrepancy and the fact that Mercy was a grown man when he was first introduced to Ava will do doubt because some concern to some readers. I had no problem with their relationship since it wasn’t consummated until Ava was old enough to make her own choice. I look forward to reading many more books by this author.
At the end of book 3 we saw a quickie marriage, a couple on the road headed to the swampy bayous of Louisiana and leaving a whole lot of death and mess behind them. Getting to see Mercy in his home environment and watching him as he helps Ava adjust to their new normal while dealing with the tragic ghosts and demons from his troubled past, gave me a whole new respect and appreciation for the man. This was what I have been waiting for...the whole truth and story of Mercy's childhood and the reasons for him being the way he is. It was so tragic, heartbreaking and raw and brought him and Ava closer together than before.
As Ghost and the rest of the club deal with the fallout from all the disappearances and deaths and as the wrath of the town comes down upon them all, Mercy and Ava have to fight off an unknown threat to their lives as well. Things come to a huge head and everyone must deal with almost losing the newlyweds but working together to heal and bounce back stronger than ever.
I really liked this fourth book so much...it was fun watching Ava's transformation from little girl to wife/woman as well as Mercy becoming the man her parents could love and respect as their son-in-law.
Excellent wrap-up of the various storylines and the end of the Dartmoor series Book 1!
***** 5 ***** "down on the bayou playing with the gators" stars
