Seriously! What the heck did I just read?! As soon as I finished it I told my friend that it reminded me of Natural Born Killers meets (twisted) Alice in Wonderland. It's dark. It's twisted. It takes you to places you may not want to go. It's a book and a story that will not be for everyone. It's taboo and it goes THERE.
"A path of destruction no one saw coming; the sweetest, most violent deaths carried out with the gentlest of smiles on our faces and the utmost hell in our hearts."
Heathan and Ellis are introduced to us as young kids. But even at the beginning Tillie Cole sets up Heathan as our dark horse. Dark and mysterious and something sinister lying underneath. But he is just a kid. Can a child be evil or are they a product of their surroundings. Then there is Ellis, the young and innocent child that is infatuated with Alice in Wonderland and tea time ("only Early Grey will do"). They live in seclusion on an estate with Ellis' father and the uncles. What happens to the children next will set up a path of darkness for both of them for many many years. They fall into the rabbit hole and need to find Wonderland to escape. And here is where we meet Rabbit and Dolly.
"My little Dolly Darlin', your blood merged with mine, through my veins, bringing me your light...And my blood now runs in yours. My darkness...my blackened soul polluting yours, bringing you over to my side. My Dolly...after all these years, mine. Succumbing to my will."
This dark and blood filled story is a story of pain, revenge, love and something more sinister within all the characters. No one asks for forgiveness. Everyone knows their places and lives their lives with no regrets. It's actually quite ugly for some of the characters. The only regret Rabbit may have is that he didn't find his Dolly sooner. Save her sooner.
"There was no Rabbit without Dolly. There was no Dolly without Rabbit."
This book hit all the dark and disturbing notes I was hoping for. I like to go dark for Halloween and Sick Fux gave it to me. But it also gave me a story of love and hope within all the darkness as weird as that sounds. Like a beautiful bloody slashing episode of Dexter!

This is not all what I expected it is SO MUCH BETTER! Tillie Cole you knocked it out of the park heck out of this hemisphere! I need more! I adore the psychotic Dolly and Rabbit! 50000000 stars! I cannot rave enough about this!

But warning before you fall into the rabbit hole be warned this is not for the faint of heart, dark dark themes lie in these pages! But if you love dark reads and want a Alice in Wonderland Adventure you WILL NEVER FORGET! pick up this book! Where do I find my own Rabbit?

Ooh and that strip club scene.......HAWT!

the love these two share is off the charts, move over Joker and Harley Dolly and Rabbit will destroy you two with smiles on their faces and then throw you a xxxrated scene to boot!

Sometimes I need something a little different to break up the romances that I typically read. Tillie Cole delivers that. Please note before you purchase this book that it is a very violent book, a dark romance. Yes there is romance, a happily ever after even. There is also plenty of death and violence, and abuse of the cruelest sort. This is an extremely dark book. There are scenes that could very well be a trigger for many. There are also some taboo subject matters.

I’m not even sure where to start with this review. Sick Fux is something so different from anything else I’ve ever read. The book kept me engaged the whole way through their adventure. Once you start reading it it’s next to impossible to put it down. As a reader I had to see just how far they would go. The biggest thing to point out (other than the darkness of the book) is that the book is layered with Alice in Wonderland elements, heavily layered. And let’s face it falling down that rabbit hole is dark and twisty anyways.

I just kind of loved Heathan. Not in the way that I do most of the heroes from my books. I loved his desire for Ellis to be free of what she has become. There was/is nothing that this man wouldn’t do for his girl. It was that drive and devotion that kept him going. He is over the top possessive but it is sexy as hell (and scary) that he would stop at nothing for her. After he is separated from her as a child he bides his planning the revenge they will have on all those that have hurt them. Heathan spends more than a decade waiting to go back for Ellis.

During their time apart Ellis found a way to cope with her abuse that has left her a wholly different person than the child Heathan remembers. Her mind has provided her with a shelter of sorts. Sadly the damage is done and there is nothing that can erase that. The rational reader will want her to get some psychiatric help. The help that Heathan provides is cathartic, and violently bloody.

There are a couple of secondary characters that are just, possibly more twisted that Heathan. I’m curious if Cole plans to pen there tales as well. I for one know that I would purchase their books.
